Anime Japan took place at the Tokyo Big Site on March 23-24th. I was there just on the Sunday to snap some of the attractions present. Check it out! Top Cosplay: @maihime5f

I arrived a little later than planned but had enough time to get around through most of the booths. It’s a mix of merchandise, interviews/shows, and collection display. Plenty of stuff to look at for sure. Tickets for general congoer were 2200 yen. Lines were pretty quick, wait was about 5 minutes.

My main focus was the cosplay section. I went to just the area between the East and New East building where there was a decent number of cosplayers posing for photos. Again, in Japan, it’s customary to line up and wait your turn to take a photo. I typically spend 1-3 minutes, some people, however, feel the need to take up to 10 minutes shooting a hundred photos of near-identical poses : /

There was another area by the water full of cosplayers but I omitted visiting that area as my time was tight and I wanted to check out as much as I can before the con closed at 4:30.
