Anime Japan 2023 took place on March 25 and 26th, I just went the one day on the Sunday. AJ takes place at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center, which is MASSIVE, especially with the south building being completed recently.

I haven’t been to a convention in a while so it was nice getting back into things. I’ve mostly been doing private photoshoots and videos the past few years, since the pandemic started…

I ended up having a good time actually. I made some new friends, mainly DBZ cosplayers, but also unknowingly met up with some cosplayers who I haven’t seen in a few years! Looking at the Twitter handle I was like “wait… I follow you!” XD

Best moments were chatting with cosplayers about their designs, anime, and where they were from. Including one spot-on Loid from Spy Family. Interacting with people is always fun.

Most disappointing moment was waiting in line for about 15 minutes at a giant Gatchapon machine only to get a mask as a reward 🫠
